LGfL E-Safety Survey | London Grid for Learning

With nearly 15,000 children years 3-9 fully completing the survey, there are some key results which will be of interest to all schools. The focus of the survey was to look at the wide and common online activities of London’s young people.
The survey was administered on behalf of the London Grid for Learning (LGfL) by NFER and run for six weeks in Feb/Mar 2015. 227 schools look part across every London LA. 53% of respondents were girls, 47% boys.
As found in previous LGfL surveys, children and young people use technology to have fun, study and communicate with others. Most children and young people have positive experiences online. On the whole they are sensible online and do not put themselves ‘at risk’. However, there remains a number of areas where schools can support young people – and their families – in increasing their online safety.
