Lithuanian teachers visit Newcastle upon Tyne

This week we are hosting two Lithuanian teachers visiting Newcastle from Vilnius. They are visiting schools in the North East to find out how we support Special Needs in school and also how we cater for children with EAL.
Today they were surprised at how Gateshead Council supported the needs of the traveller community and how they provided support for young people with a wide and differing mother tongues.
Today is St Patrick’s Day and they have dessed in green just for the occasion. Tonight we will explore the city and sample the renowned Geordie hospitality mixed with a real Irish welcome. We will enjoy the Craic!
