BETT 2013

Well that is that for another year. The first time that the show has been held at the Excel Centre in the new upcoming East docklands area of London. I was only able to make it for one day the Friday and had to pack a lot of things into that day including meetings. Shame a couple of people who I was looking forward to meeting did not turn up! Anyway the positives, larger venue all on one level (except for the gallery meetings). I was late for my first meeting and was told that it was up in the galleries as the stand number was G would have saved a lot of time if the staff had known the layout a little better. I was definitely out of my comfort zone in the arena as it was all new having had several years at Olympia however I thought the layout was fine once I understood the numbering system.I liked the cafe areas for seating and chat and the way other  delegates were more than helpful. What grabbed me in the short time I  had to look around.

1.  Labdisc from  this is a really fantastic concept and it is so practical for measuring in both science and geography.

2.  2Simple  score again with their EYFS  profiler. So intuitive so simple so good.

3. Planet Sherston again puts cloud learning in the mix

I was also intrigued by the number of cloud based solutions and also the presence of 3D technologies which I think are coming  of age.

I also think that Apple have their work cut out in 2013 the stem the Android tide Google and Samsung leading the charge.

Congratulations to all those who won awards especially Just 2 Easy as they really deserved the accolade for the work they have put in creating a truly wonderful product!

Here is to next year and hopefully a longer stay at the show for me.
